Why Morehart Murphy Subaru

WHY MOREHART MURPHY?

For more than 62 years, Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center has played an important role in the economic vitality of the Durango area and Southwest Colorado.

Formerly Morehart Chevrolet Subaru and Pat Murphy Motors, the two dealerships joined forces in 2009. The merger created a bigger, more competitive franchise with an array of vehicle brands unmatched in the Four Corners Region.

Family owned since 1958, Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center has been committed to the Durango community from the beginning.  That commitment begins with its employees - many of whom have worked for the dealership for more than 20 years - and includes a strong involvement in the local community.  Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center has been longtime supporters of education in Durango supporting both financially and volunteering their time to the Durango Foundation for Educational Excellence, Fort Lewis College and Durango High School Athletics, local human services and healthcare organizations, as well as youth activities.

With a state of the art service facility, Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center offers both customers and technicians access to the latest equipment and resources.  We take great pride in making sure our service personnel have the latest training.  Working at Morehart Murphy Auto Center is a unique experience  where employees are an integral part of the success of the dealership and are valued for their input and expertise.  Wages at Morehart Murphy are competitive and benefits include paid health and disability insurance with vision and dental available, paid vacation time, and a generous 401K package. Most employees at Morehart Murphy live within 15 minutes of the dealership and can be fishing, golfing, hiking, or enjoying a nice meal just minutes after work. If you're looking for a great place to live and a great place to work you get both at Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center in Durango, Colorado.

In Spring 2020, Morehart Murphy broke ground on a brand new, much larger facility in Three Springs, a fast-growing medical, retail and residential area within the Durango city limits. The new facility is slated for completion in late 2020.
